Individual counseling
Individual counselling is an opportunity for you to receive support and experience growth during challenging times in life. It can help you deal with many topics in your private and professional life such as anger, depression, anxiety, grief, substance abuse, relationship challenges, parenting problems, school or career difficulties.
Naturally not only an acute problem but also enhancing self knowledge, harmony and growth can be the focus of the work.
During individual counseling you work one-on-one with a trained mental health professional in a safe, caring, and confidential environment. Important past experiences, life events are discussed but the work is mainly focused on your present experiences and immediate or near future concerns.
Counseling allows you to
- explore your feelings, beliefs, and behaviours,
- work through challenging or influential memories,
- identify aspects of your life that you would like to change,
- better understand yourself and others,
- set personal goals,
- and work toward desired change.
Even if millions of people deal with mental health struggles, it can still feel like you are alone. We understand how overwhelming it can feel to reach out and ask for help and to expose your vulnerabilities. Our colleagues are here for you and have the tools to guide you no matter what obstacles you face.
